This short jacket has been designed by Judith Glue and the colours and textures have been influenced by memorable visits to Rackwick Valley in the Island of Hoy, Orkneys highest Island. It is beautifully made in Orkney by one of her experienced knitters based in their own home, this traditional fair isle pattern is made with Scottish lambswool with a mix of Italian boucle and mousse yarn with a touch of cashmere. This short jacket is a neater style and particulary suits women and sits on the hips, it has has individual runic buttons a curled knitted front band with striped cuffs and welt.
Judith uses a fully fashioned method for making her collection and each piece is shaped by hand on a small domestic knitting machine then sewn together and finished by hand. When you buy a garment from Judith you are truly buying an item that has been painstakingly made in a home and not mass manufactured. Judith's designs reflect the colours and textures of her homeland, Orkney.
We do carry some Orkney knitwear stock but if the piece you choose is not in stock when you order we will contact you and make one up especially for you which may take up to 5 weeks.
