"Tammie Norrie" is the Orkney name for a Puffin this fine china plate has been especially designed for Judith Glue by Cherith Harrison and is hand decorated with a puffin surrounded by Primula Scotia a tiny very rare flower which you can see growing at Yesnaby in the West Mainland of Orkney
Tammie Norries or Puffins visit our islands each year coming into nest in April and May and flying away at the end of July. These elusive little characters can be hard to spot, nesting precariously along our cliff edges, only the bravest twitchers catch a glimpse !
Visit the Broch of Birsay, Yesnebay or the Island of Westray to see them.
